About these tools

Are these mortgage calculators free?

Yes. Every tool is free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser. Nothing you type is stored or sent to us or anyone else.

How accurate are the results?

The maths is exact for the inputs you give, and each formula is tested. The result is only as good as the inputs: taxes, insurance, mortgage insurance and fees vary by state, county, lender and your credit, so treat every result as an estimate.

Which interest rate do the calculators start with?

Rate fields start from the latest Freddie Mac weekly national average for that loan type, shown with its date. Replace it with the rate on your own Loan Estimate for a closer answer.

Can I share a result?

Yes. Use Copy link to this result. The link holds your numbers in the address, so anyone who opens it sees the same calculation.

Do the tools work on a phone?

Yes. Every tool works on screens as small as 320 pixels wide, with large touch targets, and can be used with a keyboard or screen reader.

Are you a lender?

No. Mortgage Advice Daily is an independent education site. We do not make loans, collect leads or take referral fees.
